6 months ago, I bought my first Tacoma to rig out for camping and off-roading around here Utah. Now that the build is done, I wanted to share it with some people who could appreciate all the work that goes into this kind of stuff. Hope you enjoy!

Here's a picture of the truck the day I bought it. Not bad looking but still stock:

To start it all off, I installed a heavy duty Old Man Emu suspension, Rocky Road Outfitters superslider set, ARB bull bar bumper and CBI rear bumper with help from family and friends over the 4th of July weekend:

At the time, I wasn't able to get the XRC 9500 lb Smittybilt winch installed because some of the components broke during the clocking process. It took forever for Smittybilt to get me the right parts but it finally happened and we installed that over Thanksgiving break last week.

In September, I decided I didn't like the white fender flares, chrome emblems, and stock grill so I started the next phase of modifications:

It was looking pretty good but the tires and wheels totally sucked.. Kind of like seeing a chicken legged body builder at the gym. It was driving me crazy having them undersized and inset! I tried looking around for wheels but I couldn't find anything cool until my brother showed me Toyota's Back to the Future concept truck. Here's a close up of what they looked like:

They were perfect! That was 2 months ago and it's taken me all that time to finally find a painter/powder coated in Utah to recreate them for me. Tuesday night this week, I finally got the call from Wheel Werks up in Salt Lake saying they were done:

The only thing I wasn't able to match was the center caps but these ones worked just fine. I was too excited to wait for the weekend so I went ahead and took Wednesday off from work in order to have them mounted:

In honor of the New Star Wars movie coming out this month, this Storm Trooper is finally ready!

Thanks harpolith! On the stock setup, those were 265-75-16's. The ones I'm running now are 285-75-16's.

How does the heavy duty OME setup ride? I am in need of a new suspension. :)
