I am about to purchase a TRD Sport and wanted to know how it does on the beach? I am looking to take it fishing on the NC Outer Banks and wondered if anyone has any feed back. I know the TRD OR has a locker but does the Sport hold its own?

Thanks for the quick responses. I have read a bunch of treads here and have found tons of good info. How do the OR shocks feel on the road?

The Sport is very capable in most off road spots. I bet it is hard to find the point that a sport wont keep up with an off road.:crapstorm:

It will be fine for the vast majority of situations you may find yourself in. Only "need" the OR model for situations you place yourself in intentially.

For me, it came down to things other then the true "ability" of one vs the other. I don't like fake hood scoops. Like, at all. So, I checked the OR model box when I ordered mine.

Though I will admit the overall capability of the OR model is comforting to have, even if it is unlikely I will ever use its full potential. If this will naw at you, just be patient and wait for the OR trim.

    Good luck.
