I have a 2005 Toyota Tacoma 4x4 4door, shortbed with 17 inches rims. I would like to know what is the biggest tires I can put on it without a lift kit. What is the best tire out there, I don't take it 4-wheeling.
    Thanks
    Frank

265/70/17's, still need to remove front mud flaps and you'll get a little rub, but nothing to worry about.. Get P-Rated if you want a more cushy ride, And since you don't off road.. I'd recommend General Grabber AT2's.. But you'll get a ton of suggestions.

Love My Cooper AT3's. Great Tire for on the pavement and anywhere else you go. They do not make any road noise on the highway at higher speeds either!

I believe the biggest you can run is a 265 75 17 max without a lift.

Hey Frank this has been asked many times before. The forum has a great search function to look up those things.

275/70-17 may also fit. Not sure. I like skinnies over fatties.

This. Buy these. The absolute best tires if you want great traction and handling and tires that last 100,000 miles.
