LMAO you guys get so butt hurt that I haven't read the manual after having my truck for 6 days, sorry but I work quite a bit, haven't had the time. Thought someone that did read the manual could help. But instead theres idiots that troll the forums all day that have nothing better to do but read the manual all day.

So here's the deal with Toyota's "automatic" limited slip differential. It's not a real LSD. It's just code that applies brakes to a slipping wheel. All Tacoma's have open differentials in the rear so best case (without a modified trd off-road) you could do a 1 wheel donut with ALSD turned off.

If/when someone figures out how to modify the locker engagement restrictions on TRD OR's you could engage it in 2wd and get some nice 2 wheel drifts going.

Maybe you already knew this and you still couldn't get it to do a 1 wheel drift with TC turned off.. if so, I got nothing for you.

    Who is getting butt hurt?

In reference to your original question. If you press the traction button on your roof. That should disable the stability control to allow you to do what you need to do. I do not believe the A-TRAC can be disabled but I may be mistaken. As for the break in period. Toyota does recommend that you do not press on the acceleration pedal excessively for the first 1000 miles. I do not know if that is for the engine or the transmission, but that is what is recommended. As far as I am concerned. You are the one that spent the money, so you have every right to do with it as you like.

    Doesn't play.

Were you working when you were trying to spin donuts on the beach? Surfing the web and drop in here? You have time to argue and call people names. Suspect you've even had some throne room time over those 6 days. Always a good reading spot.

It doesn't take long to read the important parts of the manual. Still a good idea to give it a try.

There's an old motto on my tool box that dear 'ole dad put there when I messed up converting the vacumn based linkage on tri power for my GTO to a manual linkage.

'When all else fails, read the instructions'

Still applies today. To lots of things. Problem is that too many folks can't focus longer than a tweet.
