What have you done to your truck lately
I heard install is $1,000-$1,500 just for install. You still need to buy locker and compressor. Locker going to run about $1,000-$1,200. Compressor depending which one you get $250-$500.

No. The locker compressor is tiny (CSKA12), and isnt recommended to fill tires. Midas well get the big one so you can fill tires and run locker.

I personally wouldn't want to run a spool on a daily driver.
    or anything for that matter.

You may also want to invest in gears at the same time you install the lockers. Especially if you plan on running larger tires on a 4 banger.

To each his own, since u live in Hawaii I doubt you'll have issues other than maybe some extra tire wear. It's mainly a nono for people who live in areas where it snows. I remember going on a cambered road that had ice on it and I suddenly felt slippage and the truck went sideways into a ditch, I wasnt even going fast so I really felt the whole experience happen. Fortunately there was no damage other than a towing bill. but I suppose if you can get away with it, it is a significantly cheaper alternative to any selectable locker.

These prices are about what I paid for my arb's from Maui off road. But I went with a front locker too...and gears so my bill went higher of course hahahah

I got my locker from maui off-road, the compressor from ECGS, and had maui do the install.. I think all said and done I was out of pocket like $2,700-$2,800.... MOR installed the line close to a heat shield, and it burst at the most inopportune time up in peacock flats.. they changed it free and routed it away from the heat shields...
