I have an opportunity to pick up one of the last 2015 TRD OR DC 4x4's around. The truck is new $34,575 MSRP being sold for $31,000 even. No trade. Thoughts? Same truck in a 2016 would be about $5K more. 2015's are rock solid and per the used prices holding value quite well.

How much does interior matter to you?

depends on what you want. Nobody up here can make the choice for you. You either want the 2nd gen or 3rd gen. I went from 2nd gen to 3rd gen and haven't looked back. For me, it's a lot nicer compared to my 11 I had. More than just the interior.

I picked the 2015 instead of waiting on the 2016. Glad I did. :) My truck rocks.

Do you want a "tech" interior with a small V6 and higher horsepower? (The 16's can have crawl control if you really want to seriously off-road)

Or do you want tried and true with a large V6 and low horsepower?

$31k is what my local dealer sold DCSB 4x4 OR models for long before the 2016's came about. So you're not getting a "deal" on it if you ask me. Why? Because there's still high demand for the dwindling stock of Gen 2's. That being said, the 2016's do cost more.

It's really a personal choice though man. You can't go wrong either way in my opinion.

I was going to wait for a 2016 but after pricing it out, it would've been about 7k more, so I went with a 2015 and love it. I saw someone driving a 2016 for the first time in my area, and it looks great, but I don't think you'll be disappointed in either one.

Yeah thanks for the points. I actually like the interior of the 2nd Gen I had a 2012 TRD Sport access cab and a 2013 TRD Sport Double Cab so I am familiar with the trucks. Minus the sunroof in the 3 Gen I actually prefer the 2nd Gen interiors. Everything from how the entire thing looks to seating material and the quality of the plastics. I realize the deal is not that great, 10% off but its the only 2015 left I can find within 1500 miles. Not the build Id want exactly but not a lot to choose from. This particular one is an Auto with Nav. The 2016 I would get would be TRD sport with manual and prem and tech. I realize different trucks but every time I look or see a 2016 I get turned off. They jus look cheap in my opinion, Please no offense to anyone that bought one just have not grown on me yet.

I test drove the 2015 TRD OR and the 2016 TRD OR. No way I could go with the 2nd gen. Light years apart for me in fit, finish, comfort (ride and road noise)

The 2015 feels like a 5+ year old truck.

That's cause the 2015 is a ten year old truck design....
