Anyone here have any experience with the Vasquez Canyon or Casquez Rocks off the 14fwy in SoCal? It's near me and I always see folks parked out there, but wondering if there are any decent trails or anything worth my time.

May take the wife over there and just do some bouldering then hop in the truck to see what's around, but looking for recommendations.

Last time I was there I don't remember being aloud to drive on the trails. Why don't you try rower flats

I used to go there when I was a kid in the 60's-70's before it was a state park. We used to go out there with the family, our dogs and a picnic meal. Spend all day out there climbing, playing hide and seek etc. Lots of memories. If you continue up the 14 to the 395, first off ramp on 395 is nine mile canyon. Up there is Kennedy and Monache meadows-excellent offroading. Check it out. Enjoy

Yes, the 60's. I have memories of places visited that are older than you are. Hahaha. You are never too old to explore new trails. Last year I slept outside 82 nights, and did many hiking trips with multiple 15 mile days. Get out and enjoy!

Hey I'm an 80s kid so I'm no longer the baby generation. That's super admirable. I absolutely WILL hike the Pacific Crest Trail in my lifetime if I am fortunate enough to live well into retirement. I am lucky to have a wife who digs the outdoors so camping is a big part of our lives, and hopefully in the new taco!
