I am a very hard person to satisfy. Had a 2007 Subaru Legacy, sold it after 2 years. Sold a 07 yamaha 600r. Now I have the tacoma. Which I love, but still not sure what I like more. I can get a great deal on a 08 Jeep Wrangler 4x4 X Unlimited (4 dr). My dad has one and I like it quite a bit. I rarely use the bed of the tacoma, maybe a kayak in summer or skis in winter. I like the idea of having a back seat again instead of access doors. yes I know I can get a dbl cab but I do not like the look of 4 dr trucks. I would have the luxury of open top in summer with a jeep. Convince me to keep tacoma and not purchase the wrangler.

It is personal preference. It sounds like in 2 years you would be tired of a wrangler also. The Tacoma will outlast the Wrangler. But that doesn't matter in your case. Since you dump your vehicles every 2.

Honestly dude, I would get the jeep if I were you. It seems like it would fit your needs better!

If you think the jeep will suit you better go for it, but here are a few reasons you should stay w/the tacoma eventually your gonna need the truck bed, resale value (buy like sean said you'll prolly get rid of it any ways),more room inside of the vechicle, better mpg, more power, quite cab,imo compared to the jeep feels safer, just to name a few.

If you get the wrangler soft top, you will freeze your ass off in the winter. That cheap plastic doesn't stop any of the cold. I had a friend who had one. It was like driving swiss cheese. Air was always getting in somewhere.

A few additions to make me feel cool.
Look at the resale value of a 2 year old Wrangler then compare that to a 2 year old Tacoma.

Like everyone else says, sounds like the Jeep with suit you better. I personally would pick a Tacoma over a Jeep any day, but it is personal preference. I have to agree, sounds like you would be in the same boat if you had bought a Jeep 2 years ago.

I just get bored with things quickly. I doubt I'll ever keep a vehicle longer than 2 years. Unless its a Nissan GT-R. haha
