My understanding of a "fleet vehicle" was that it was sold in a base model configuration (usually entry level price point model) and typically in white. They are sold through the commercial/fleet salesperson at the dealership primarily to businesses who don't need SR5 or Limited models and just want a cheap pickup for staff to transport materials around.

For example, Ford and Chevy both have "Fleet" websites for their vehicles. These are typically meant for rental cars, utility vehicles, etc.

Well that's a dramatic 180. We were really hoping for more drama of the opposite sort. Counting on it actually, its what we thrive on.

I'm not sure in the whole fleet thing. The dealer was the only owner according to carfax.

LOL....I'm not a very dramatic person. I'm a firm believer that treat people that you want to be treated. And I also believe that people get what they give.

Back in the days I traded in an S-10 truck with 6000 miles on it. It had a paint scratch in the door and on the B pillar from a bicycle or someones side mirror. No body damage but entire side of the truck needed repainted. I did not know who did it nor did I report it to my insurance. The dealership took it in as a trade in without problem, with scratch.

    Could have been a loaner.

The dealership got it as new and could have lent it out to customers getting their vehicles getting serviced, test drives or a loaner to a higher up. The paint job could have been done by a unscrupulous customer or employee without the dealership being aware of it. Or they did a quick paint job. Fleet could have just rented it out. With 17,000 miles.who knows.
