The Wrong Use of Sale vs Sell Thread

Now I'm not the most literate guy out there, but I feel like while browsing around this week I have found a ton of wrong uses for "sale" versus "sell". So..... being the sarcastic guy that I am.... I thought I'd open a thread to keep count every time I see one.

So to start off, some that I've saved:

 

I'm just trying to get a bunch of comments built up on an "about nothing" thread so i can change it into my build thread and have a lot of comments, then people will think I'm cool

I can't stand the misuse of our own language. The sale/sell mix-up is the abused stepchild of the their/there/they're and the your/you're errors that usually get all of the attention.

Maybe if you get a high post count, then you can put your username up for sell!

 

What if I want to sell a sail that's on sale? Should I post my cell?


My wife just taught her kids this yesterday.

 

Wait wait wait..... Is that a thing? Reminds me of the video game days when someone would level up really high and then sell it off.
