    The most I had in my bed was 2200lbs of coal it was bagged and stacked close to the cab.

    These blocks weight 23 lb. dry and 25 lb. wet. They were pretty damp so they weight approximately 1275 lb. The fender was 36 in. above the pavement before loading and 32.5 in. after. My truck has a 4cy. engine which handled the load with ease. 70 mph up hills on the four lane in 4th with pedal to spare. 45 mph in 3rd gear and 2800 rpm up a very steep hill on the 2 lane (full throttle) This hill is as steep as hills get in the Ozarks.
