I have a 2011 Toyota Tacoma Sport and I'm thinking about adding a rear ARB locker. How is it working out for you? I currently run 265/70/17 all terrains with the possibility of going 275/70/17 in the future. What gear ratio do you recommend for the locker for best performance?

Locker performance and gear ratio aren't related. But tire size and gear ratio are.

I ran 285's and 315's with 4.56 gears and loved it. I'm selling my ARB locker simply cuz I went with a whole different axle. I loved mine.

Any full diff selectable locker you get, you would love as I believe. I'm running the e locker in my 5 lug and I love it.

I have ARB lockers front and rear. They're great. Not sure how the locker will interact with the traction/stability control electronics on the newer trucks.

Re-gearing is a waste of money with 32" tires. Go for bigger tires or save the money.

Ran 285s and 4.56s, overkill. Ran 315s and 4.56s and it was pretty close to stock power. I swapped to 4.88s and plan to run 37s eventually. As for the ARB, worth the money if you plan to use it IMO.

If I do get ARB locker it will be for a 31's no higher then 32's. I currently run 265/70/17's but if I go bigger tire it will be 275/70's. I need an ARB locker gear ratio that is comparable to these tire sizes. Only getting locker for rear diff and primarily going to be used in emergencies, (stuck in mud, snow, sand, etc...) No rock climbing or putting my truck compromised positions.

I want to do the same thing PFD but am wondering where do you get this done? I have no idea how to even search this. I would guess I don't want a regular mechanic doing it, right? I would want a 4wd specialist but how do you find those. I googled for Mass but came up with nothing out here. Or am I looking for the wrong thing
