    Got to work on this mod today. Very simple.

    First remove the console.

    Tips for removal are near the end of this thread.

    For the in car plug I didn't have the plug receptacle that I want but figured I'd get it pre wired while I had everything exposed.

    Start with the larger plug that goes directly into the inverter. You only use these two wires

    Green is hot, red/white is neutral

    Splice into each wire with your choice of connector. I used t-splices. I cut away a small portion of the insulation to ensure a good connection. Connect a wire to each one using the blade head connectors. Should look like this:

    I taped up all my connections before plugging everything back in. Ran my new wires with several extra feet just in case up through the bottom of the console when I put it back on. Once I get the receptacle I want it's simply a matter of finding a spot to put it, connecting the two wires, adding a ground to the receptacle and I'm done!
