Solar Camper Vent

I have a black camper top that can get hot in the sun, even with the side windows open. I noticed that the new generation Prius has a solar vent in the sun roof. I was thinking about installing two Nicro solar vents in my camper top to force air circulation.

This involves cutting 4'' holes in my fiberglass top, so I wanted to check and see if anyone has done this before? I am not too concerned about water leaking into the truck bed, as much as I am worried that the cover will blow off while I am doing 70mph on the highway.

 

Hello- What did you learn about installing the solar vent FAN in the roof of your camper shell? I am looking at the very pricey

This is a unit for a yacht, and at the web page there is a detailed, 10 page installation guide PDF, but for mounting on a yacht deck.
Other products do not provide enough technical details, especially cubic feet per minute, etc. This one claims 1,000 cubic feet of air/hour. It is self contained, running off its own solar power and charging its own small NiCad or NiMH battery for operation at night (thus the name "Day/Night")
