I thought maybe baking it increased the flavor profile. Frying seems so drastic and makes a mess.

Yeah I've done this wit all my vehicles and never done something this bad. This adhesive they used was also something that I hadn't encounter before, much harder than other headlamps. Oops, looks like it will run me about $450 from the dealer if I can make it work.

might be a good idea to check with a bigger salvage yard that does part locating. There have already been a few tacos that have been totaled at this point. Those parts have to be available somewhere, although might be almost as much as new from dealer.

What year Taco? I have an OEM set I replaced with aftermarkets. Great shape 2010's. Shipping from SC and $30 for crawling around the attic and they are yours... Whatever bulbs are inside are yours as well - uprated set with less than 11 months on them (non-Xenon)...

When we bought our house it didnt come with an oven. Apparently the last owner thought it would be a good idea to melt his bowling ball in there.

Sometimes it pays to leave stuff alone., but to each his own. I never have modified any of my trucks besides I did buy additional rims for my 2016 to avoid having to change back and forth from my mud grips to my original tires. The only things Ive ever done to all my tacomas was seat covers, floor mats, and rainguards. Ive always thought they were super nice trucks in their original stock form.

Buddy helped me get them painted and put back together. Blacked out and color matched side marker.

Unfamiliar with BHLM but I assume you mean the headlights.

Take out all the screws on the outside of the housing.

Bake 255* for about 7min. Start prying apart. With other cars it's come apart much easier. With these I had to pull apart and put back in the oven multiple times. Partly because the sealant was much harder than others I've worked with and also it cooled off very quickly.

After it was all taken apart clean off sealant as quick as possible to avoid having to use other means of getting it all cleaned off. Or making the mistake I did originally.

    Disassemble headlight inner housing.

    Sand, prime, paint.

    Reassemble

    Reseal with black silicone.
