    Hello,

So, I hope you all can give me recommendations for important maintenance items and upgrades for my recently purchased Tacoma... Items that are worth doing to help ensure many, many miles of service, and enjoyment.

Having owned a '92 base model 4x4, 22re pickup (should have never sold it), I finally found the exact truck I've been looking for...

    An '02 Single cab Tacoma, 2.7, 5speed, 4x4, roll-down windows, etc. 52,000 miles.

As far as I know, the only maintenance done in its 13years, is oil changes. What would you do right now for preventative maintenance, or to address future issues?? Change fluids and call it good?

Also, interested in suspension upgrades if there are any really worthy upgrades. Thanks!!!

Nice find, such low mileage :D .

I would replace spark plugs, PCV valve, air filter, drive belts (fan, A/C, PS) to start with
and keep old ones as spares.

Then, check valve clearances, especially exhaust valves (easy to check, but hard to adjust).
