Dome light help...

the OEM bulb works fine, It was just a little loose, thats why it was flicking.
What else could I try? I took apart the map lights too and everything seemed fine, all connections good.

 

Alright! I found out my problem but dont know how to fix it or address it. My LED light only works when my key is either on or in acc.
I think it has something to do with how much power less power it needs so it thinks that its burnt out and only comes on with half the light. Or something like that.
Well any thaughts on this one?

Or maybe something having to do with the timer on the dome?

sorry dude - i think its a power delivery issue. Go back to incandescent.. i like how incandesent lamps fill better than LED anyway. LED is designed for straight forward light, whereas incandescent is a messy lamp and shoots light in all directions, making for more of a "filling" light...

so.. no big loss. Just hope you kept that receipt

 

ok... well I found a thread at TTORA about this and the guy found out a way to bypass the dimmer and run a full 12 volts to the dome. But I dont think Im up for doing that. I will put the old bulb back in it.
But I did order a couple LED bulbs for the map lights to see if that works. I hope so.

 

Update.....

No luck! I know someone at TTORA that is ganna try something to fix this issue, and I hope it works. I wouldnt mined going back to the old bulbs, but after seeing the LED's, I really love them and would like to make them work.
So time will tell.... thanks!
