A new guy here, doing some recon on the new '16 truck. A few questions that I can't seem to find answers for by searching...

    1. Has anyone actually scaled their truck yet? Curious how actual weight compares to the brochure
    2. Is the upgraded stereo with it? There are two creature comforts I want in my next vehicle. One is a good stereo
    3. Does anyone offer aftermarket heated seats? This is the other creature comfort I want... But the package that includes heated seats is speedy and doesn't have anything else I want.
    4. I'm really wanting a manual transmission this time around. I miss rowing and I'm sick of fighting the hippie-inspired tranny logic. Does anyone have any pics of the interior with a hand shaker?

    Thanks for your help

I like the JBL speakers. I'm no audiophile, but there's enough bass to shake the rear view mirror if you want it, and my regular rock stuff will get loud enough for my ears to take a beating, and not distort out.

I got the technology/premium package, so it had the seat warmers and the JBL included. If recommend that package, I like the parking sensors and blind spot things, now that I'm used to em.

Get the manual. I have the off road in a manual and am glad I do so. I'm in bed already but tomorrow I'll post pic of the interior.

I have the tech/premium package on my OR MGM DC... i would recommend getting it. It will help you down the road when you want to trade it in.
Somedays I do wish I got the manual instead of the auto... it really does a lot of gear seaching... kind of annoying sometimes. I guess I will need to get use to it.

It will help you on the trade because you paid more for it, lol.

Just a note regarding #2 and #4 on your list...you can't get the JBL audio option on manual transmission trucks. While you can get the Premium & Technology package (HH) with the manual, you can't get the Premium & Technology package w/JBL audio (FP) with the manual. Sucks that it's not an option...

Thanks for the info everyone...and the pic Highwhey. That looks pretty nice. Guess I need to get down to a stealership and start fondling stuff.

It is lame that the JBL isn't offered on the m/t. But I could probably talk myself into an aftermarket system if needed.

Definitely, I suggest you drive both the auto and m/t and decide based on those test drives. I had no doubts with the m/t bc I didn't find the auto had any throttle response.

    1. Mine came in at 4500 pounds with about 3/4 tank of gas and 100% stock at the time. I had to weigh it on a certified scale last week to register it.
    2. Get the JBL but you can't with a manual. I think it sounds really good.
    3. If you get an optioned truck, then you'll get some heated seats which work great.

I have the stock stereo and it's pretty damn nice. I love my music and my last car had the premium stereo with Bose speakers. It's was awesome. However, the stock on pack some nice sounds. I use Thunder Rolls by Garth Brooks as my test song and it's sounds awesome.
