Been looking at various options for easy handgun access. Magnets, mounting holsters, console, etc. What is your easy access solution?

I think you'd want something easy to access while in the vehicle (not something you have to open a console to access) but when not in the car would not want to have anything give a clue that there could be a gun in the cab. So a visible holster is out IMO or you're just asking for scum to break into your vehicle. Something that holds it near your right leg while sitting in vehicle, but also something you can take down when not in the vehicle and does not obviously indicate a firearm could be inside the truck. If you had an incident (potential car jacking) where you had to immediately access the firearm you don't want the process to be cumbersome like opening up a console or glove box lid.

Also important is to practice accessing it. Run defense scenarios through your head.

IMO, anything outside the console isn't very discrete; and inside the console isn't easy access.
I do not like holstering and re-holstering in a vehicle.

If I was going to do anything, it would be a seat cover pocket lined with some velcro.
My MTAC rig with v-clips would 'stick' to that.

Never once saw a need to carry is all...maybe it's dangerous in your part of the country, like Chicago or something. Never needed to carry a gun to feel safe. Never needed a gun other than to hunt with. That's my perspective. How often do you have to use your weapon? ever shoot someone? I get it, you like your gun. It makes you warm and fuzzy inside. I don't think the world is out to get you. You think I am a joke? Grow up..

I'm surprised guns aren't required - like insurance! ;) When seconds count, law enforcement is only minutes away!
