Just used my colinite 845 on my taco in 4 degrees celcius overcast foggy day and it worked pretty darn good for the temp and humidity. Truck looks better than ever

I'm loving the chemical guys products. Really working great for me. Just finished doing my bed and the front that I did last weekend looks awesome still.

    I did

New car clay bar with lube. This stuff worked great. My paint is smooth as glass. Really took alot of shit off the paint.

Then I did black light polish followed by jet Seal roped with Pete's 45. Really a nice system but takes some time to do.

Clay, klasse, then collinite 845. Repeat annually.

Hand wash (2 bucket method with grit guard), electric air dryer, Detailer as needed between. Washes.

Rejex on all glass, wheels, inner fender lips, and front bumper (high bug impact areas)

Aero 303 on all the black and lights and dash for uv protection.

One of the show and shines I used to compete in with my VW the prize was usually two bottles of this
    http://rallyways.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/08/meguiars_deep_crystal_carnauba_wax_review.jpg

I've tried many different products. Both professional grade (friend owns a detailing place) and retail.
This being retail I find no noticeable difference in shine and protection. Show usually has 5 throughout the summer I won each time, two years in a row, including VW of the year 2 years in a row, and of the year prize is a huge meguirs package thing. THe shows are usually sponsored by megs. SO I have a shit tone of it lol.

Only thing I have noticed vs professional grade and some other megs or mothers products is that this one does not wipe off as easy as others. But I find it gives one of the best shines and its reasonably priced, for when I do finally need to buy some. Rather happy with it.
I usually wax every two to three weeks, wash every week or other week (with my car) will likely do the same with the tacoma once I get it.
It takes a lot of time given a full wash wax and interior cleaning takes 2-3 hours, but considering my car is an 06 and still looks like it just rolled off the factory floor, its worth it. No rust or anything. When you take care of it it lasts.

But either way, really recommend it. Very happy with it, and I am very picky.

FWIW, full list of what I use, most of which is recommended by a professional detailer *is recommend

Megs wash & wax soap* many will say use two bucket, I actually do not, as after two or three rinses your rinse bucket will be dirty I actually use the hose to rinse the soft brush before each dip in the bucket.
some mothers product for dash board (found it to be the best compared to armour all which is terrible for any dash and megs) although I had a sample of some sonax cleaner, it worked amazing and looks great but its way too bloody expensive.
    sonax wheel cleaner*
invisible glass with rain x for exterior glass*
    invisible glass for windshield interior*
distilled water and white vinegar, two parts water 1 part vinegar for all interior tinted windows (any glass cleaner is actually terrible for tint)* recommended by the shop that did the tint, anything ammonia based will eat at the tinting film.
croftgate tire shine (will not turn the tires brownish over time, waterbased)*
megs leather conditioning wipes for steering wheel*
I have a bissel upholstery cleaner which sprays a water and detergent mix onto the fabric and has a brush and suction part that then cleans and sucks up all excess for when it gets dirty (you can usually bang my seats and dust comes out after two weeks since I work construction and get in my car after work all dusty) this removes all that said dust from in the fabric that vacuuming alone will not get
Krown salt stain remover (only ever had a salt stain once and this stuff worked)
Mothers Clay bar once a year*
    Mother showtime in between waxing*

Shameasy (which is basically just a foam squeegy) to remove most water, then hand try, followed by the mothers showtime and a polishing towel.*

I use a soft brush and mit (depending on area)
random orbit and circular polisher depending on section/product (random orbit for wax, circular orbit for polishing)
Also do a lot by hand
Its a slightly big list and a long process...but when I get people telling me my car looks brand new when its almost 10 years old it makes it all worth while. If you're as much of a petrol head as I am that is lol. I usually get the girlfriend to help as well.

That's it I'm buying ten wash mitts one for each panel so I never have to double dip.

    Lol

Maybe you know this already- you want to put a paint sealer on before the Collinite. That said, I've got Megs Ultimate Liquid Wax on under my 845. It's a nice combo. The Ultimate Liquid Wax is a 100% synthetic polymer paint sealer. Super easy on and off and great shine/longevity. It's Meguires longest lasting last step product. For under 20 bucks, it's a good bang for your buck. I've gotten 10+ applications out of one bottle.

When it comes to professional vs retail grade Megs products, I've found that the pro grade is formulated to be safe for rotary use, whereas the retail is not (e.g. Megs #21 is the pro version of NXT). Just something I've picked up on on the Megs forum.

I have heard the same, but I do all wax by hand, only polish with rotary.

Occasionally I will use a random orbit for wax, but not often, and with that wax haven't had any problems or seen any damage etc.
