My vote is here too; after having dogs in the passenger compartment of vehicles over the years and having the inside of that vehicle smell and deliver dog hair all over me and my other human passengers, dogs go in the back (Bed). I keep a canopy on my trucks, so the dogs get a whole lot more room to move around, etc.
And as a result of the dogs now being resigned to the bed of the truck, I prefer to have an Access Cab. I keep the window slider open, and can reach the dogs for pets, treats, voice controls, etc. That and I carry more than one PASSENGER in my truck perhaps once every 5-8 years. So NEVER have need for more seats than the access cab offers.
    Peace Out.

I have an access cab and a 65lb boxer, who happens to be an amputee. I built a plywood/carpet dog shelf to place over half of the access area and put his memory foam dog bed on top. This leaves the footwell and jump seat on the opposite side open for his tupperware food bin and bowls (or a passenger, but I've never needed to put anyone in the back). The half shelf is also super easy to take out when not in use and hang on a pair of hooks in my garage.

I find it easier to pick him up and put him into the back of the access cab, with both doors open and the passenger seat temporarily flipped forward, than loading him into the back seat of my wife's corolla. Not only that, but the shelf in the truck large enough that he won't slide off and get stuck on the floor between the seats like he does in the corolla.
