It was in the low 70s today here in SW Missouri and the rain held off so I took the opportunity to strip the parts truck down to the frame, then power washed it. I will be using the frame to replace my rusted one. Does anyone know how to tell if the frame is a warranty replacement? This frame is awfully clean for a 20 year old truck.

Tacoma is stock and staying that way, Pickup is TBA as of now.
Probably just been garage kept it's whole life and cleaned often. People that get rust problems in their trucks either buy them from people who never washed under them good or fail to take care of them themselves.

Are you just going to move all your truck minus the frame plus your engine+transmission onto this one? Everything else looks to be already in place and it would save you a lot of work switching the truck over.

Yeah. The parts truck has lock out hubs and the driver has ADD. Thinking about using the lock outs. Everything else from the driver is going on this frame.

I'd definitely use the manual setup. Really helps the mpg

Frames were only replaced on 01-04.

Ah. After doing more reading I see that the earlier models were buy backs, not frame replacements.
