Does the taco tick sound like a exhaust leak though..Mine sounds like a loud exhaust leak ticking.Just wanted some insight before I start throwing money at it that I don't have right now

The taco tick and a true exhaust leak sound different. Is their a local mechanic you can take it to and just have source of tick verified?

Keep eye on oil and enjoy, I have owned Toyotas for the past 25 years and they all have the tick! My last first gen had over 300k miles and sounded pissed off, but never let me down and ran like a champ, routine maintenance goes a long way

Thanks for the advice and support. I plan on keeping my first generation for a while and maybe one day I will upgrade to a newer one. I have a video to upload so y'all can hear my taco tick.

Everything seems all good except for the tick, tick, tick tick after it warms up.
