Hey guys, I'm looking to purchase a snugtop tonight. I have a Super White truck, the cap is in speedway blue.

Common issue for a lot of people here, so what kind of respray costs are you looking at in your areas?

As well, would most painters just tape up the windows and trim or would much of it be removed prior to paint? This one is carpeted inside, so would that affect the procedure as well? I know a guy that does industrial painting and has a decent setup, so if I can buy the proper paint I could likely have him give it a shot, as long as I know the proper prep work.

I'm also looking to add rails for roof racks - I assume I'd probably be better off installing them initially and then removing for paint? Thoughts?

    Thanks

most quotes I got were in the $400-$600 neighborhood. That was with them doing all the work. I hand it over and it come back painted.

Just got mine back from the paint shop on Wednesday. Purchased for 550 from fellow member, 500 in paint, totaling 1050. That's half the price of new. You can tell its been painted if you look close around some of the taped areas. Doubt anyone other than myself notices and I am in the process of getting over it now. It would be really nice if I were able to find a color matched one but got inpatient and found one that had some features that I liked.

I paid 340 to have mine painted... You can tell in one spot that didnt get the best spray.. I would also wait until after the paint job to install the tracks, thats what I did....

Thanks, I'll be calling around later today. Managed to get a Snugtop Supersport for $450 this weekend, now I need to source some rails.
