3.73 gear swap?

I've been thinking about a getting a 3rd gen but the r&p has gone down from 3.73 to 4.30. I've always thought about getting higher gears for my second gen but no one that I'm aware of makes them. I feel my rpm's are too high at 70-80mph.

I've been looking at the gear ratios of the 6 speed Manual and they look like a good fit for 3.73 gears (especially for highway use). So my question is; are the 3rd Gen axles the same as the second Gen axles? -especially the front axle? (I could alway just swap out rears if the front is the same and the rears are different (I know the TRD off road has a larger rear but I don't know about the TRD sport).
