Tacoma tailgate lettering inserts

Anyone have these on their truck? I ordered a black set, then realized i think the chrome ones would look better with the chrome bumper/blazing blue color, curious to if anyone has put them on yet and has pictures (not the pictures from the people trying to sell them). also, have a set of the black ones I can sell to someone on the cheap if interested.

 

I'm trying to figure out if I should get matte black or silver for my MGM.

i was thinking of checking with a expert body shop to remove the Tacoma indent and form it smooth down to the lower left and right indent. recessed straight across to match the left and right sides.

How hard were they to apply??

 

Very easy. Just clean the tailgate, slowly position the letters individually then apply pressure. I'd suggest installing them on a warm day or heat up the sheet metal on the tailgate before you install them.

 

I want some too........I just have no idea which color to choose..........and now there are 3-D ones? Hahahahahahahaahahah there will be too many choices!!!!!

Unfortunately I live in one of the coldest cities in the world Winnipeg (winterpeg) --> waiting for a warm day = waiting for June haha.
Maybe I'll pump some heat in the garage or steal my wife's blow dryer... lol

 

What color is your truck? The 3D letters look so much better than the flat vinyl ones. Worth the $40.

The silver one (I Just got it Sunday and I have shock still LOL, so I know what I have, just not the proper name of it!) Funny, my order of preference was Blue/Red/White..........then I saw Silver..........ummmmmmmmm Hhahahaha! I would love to add some color splashes maybe..........just for a bit of a break

those do look cool, but they also look like they'll be a pain in the ass to keep clean.

 

I would say black letters then. It flows with black on the bumper and tailgate handle.
