Hard to start when gas gets around 1/4 tank.

Hi I have a 2001 Tacoma. The truck hesitates to start when the gas gets a little low ... Like 1/4 tank. I had 2 o2 sensors replaced when the check engine light came on about a year ago. The hesitation has only gotten worse and the engine light came back on in about a week. The gas mileage has not changed but the starting problem seems to be getting worse. Does anyone have any ideas?

 

the only correlations between the fuel pump and the engine starting is the fuel pump and fuel filter. start by changing the fuel filter.
