I just bought a replacement oil pan because my drain plug wont come out (just keeps spinning on thread) and I was unable to take it out.
I'm having a problem taking out my oil pan. It looks like the tranny is covering the back two bolts on the oil pan and there is not much room to take the oil pan out. Does anybody have a detailed explanation on how to removed oil pan (pictures help c:). Again I have a 1998 2.4L 2WD tacoma looking to remove my oil pan. I'm worried about taking something apart that I shouldnt be.

not really much to screw up then. disconnect the tranny from everything you can and try to move it back so you can reach the bolts. i saw a writeup recently where someone was doing something down there, but placed a 2x4 inside the cab across the shifter hole and wrapped the transmission to said 2x4 with a ratcheting strap. he was able to move the transmission out of the way easier or while he positioned his jack to bring it down.
