image.jpg hi fellas, I posted in the new member thread yesterday, but this section seems a little more active.. Hoping to get some help on a used 2010 TRD Tacoma I purchased back in August.

Needs front diff rebuild ( driver side seal where CV axle connects has a busted bearing, )... How can I tell which diff I have.. I've been looking around online.. Am I correct in saying there are more than one? Diff locker or not etc....

I also have a squeak that seems to be come from the rear passenger rear spring mount bracket.. Spraid lithium all over everything back there that could possibly squeak also but no good... Still there..

Rear drum on passenger side also seems to be dragging about 1/8th of a turn ... Making the truck almost feel like you're pumping the brakes at times... I took the drum off on both rears yesterday and cleaned them well , helped a little while, but it came back, not near as bad today. But all the brakes looked brand new. Almost like they were just rebuild not long ago.. Springs were even still color coded.

Thanks for all the knowledge guys, it'll be a sure help.

Pretty sure there is only one front diff across all models. The only thing that changes is the rear (locker for TRD Offroad only).

Oh ok... I saw a reference on a few parts sites stating one as " reverse " and one as " camshaft ".. Was wanting to make sure before buying the rebuild kit.... My first Tacoma...
