    In future gen3 RPO.
Otherwise I'd be looking hard at limited.
Not a fan of all the chrome. Or the wheels.
Also not a fan of the hickory color with some exterior combinations.

    Y'all's thoughts?...

I'm a fan of leather (not NuLux or Softex...whatever the manufacturer name of the day is) but, the Limited version of the Taco isn't as appealing to me overall as the OR.

I'm very irriatated in how limited the packages are with the Tacoma. Heated leather seats are a must for me (and my better half), but I want the OR package. That with a long box and manual tranny and I'd be in heaven (or the dealership ordering).

I like the "look" of the limited...but DAMN those seats kills me....UGGGG! If they came in Black or Charcoal colored leather I would have been all over it....but EVEN my 74 yr old mother who LOVES brown colors said "Ewww...I don't like that color inside of a truck"....I just couldn't pull the trigger!

I definitely wanted leather but once I sat in the Limited leather and OR cloth seats I no longer had to have the leather. It wasn't THAT nice and the cloth was very nice. Plus the OR with cloth seats has heaters.

I completely agree with all of you about the lack of options. I don't see why Toyota can not make an off road truck with leather seats.

That being said, I can come up with a ton of reasons why you should want cloth seats instead:
    1. Maintaining leather is a ton of work if you want it properly take care of the seats.
    2. Worn out leather seats look way worse than cloth seats of the same age.
    3. Most vehicles that costs less than $100k have really crappy leather. The limited tacoma is no exception.
    4. Fabric is grippier, so you are not as likely to slide around while off-roading.
    5. Leather seats are crazy hot in the summer.

One can never have too many light bars.
It sucks because the 4runner is available with softex in every trim. While softex is knock off leather I was in a limited 4 Runner a little while back and I couldn't tell the difference between softex and leather.

eBay has your factory Katzkin leather for 620$ or you can order directly from them the way you want it for $800-1000 it's real easy to change leather on your seats. Look up on YouTube. Took me about 3 hours with some friends help, on my other truck. The only other thinks that limited has its dash and doors covered with leather, don't think it's doable as diy.

I love the softex in my 2013 Limited. Easy to keep clean(unlike cloth), heated, and feels fairly real (better than a lot of other fake leathers I've sat in)

Do you need to know, or care?
I had a '13 LTD with the softex and liked it too. I now have a '16 LTD with the leather.. It's all a matter of taste. At first I thought the same thing, weird colour combination, but after seeing it and now having it for a while, I actually like the colour and feel of it. But as I said, it's all a matter of taste, if it works for you, go for it, if not, stay away. I will say this though, I've seen some pictures of the Katzkin seats on TW, and they look awesome.

In my area the T4R Limited isn't offered with softex but, only leather...at least on the 2014 year forward.

All Limiteds in GST also come with heated & ventilated front seats.
