Bomb Threat, L.A. Area Schools Closed.

Bomb threat electronically provided to a school board member so entire school system closed. ~900 public & ~200 charter schools.

It's being taken serious.

My only thought is, who calls / emails a bomb threat? ISIS/ISIL would just set the bomb off without warning I'm guessing.

My other thought is, how busy will this keep LEOs focused on this threat...

 

Agreed.....they'd be more prone to have an action vs a threat. Maybe some kids didn't want to take their mid term exams. This "is" the last week before Xmas break.

 

Kinda was wondering the same Chris. Now saying it was an emailed threat from "over seas". I'm guessing anyone could spoof or re-mail the threat so knowing the original origin may be somewhere else or difficult to track...???

Almost wonder if it's designed to distract LE.

 

wouldn't be hard to track, all they have to do is look at the IP address. those can be routed as well to fake it but it is always traceable.

 

A little more disturbing was the breaking news in Mizzou this week.....dozens of stolen propane tanks along with 100's of disposable cell phone purchases from the same area stores.

 

you gotta add on to that there were many people trying to buy guns at 3-4 times the value so they didn't have to do a background check. scary as shit times we are in right now.

 

All i can say is stock up on some guns and make an overland build.

 

am 640 is sayin that it came from overseas and that NY had a similar threat like this today. the crazy part is that they have to search all the schools in lausd. reminds me of the die hard 3 movie

Happened at my college. But they didn't shut the school down nor did they go public with it until it was resolved to be a hoax.

I worked (campus pd) on that day.

 

Just saw this on a news site:
NY Police Commissioner Bratton: New York received email threat similar to Los Angeles schools but deemed it 'not credible'

 

hopefully nothing comes from it in either area.

 

Building my AR right now and my truck is ready to go. When it breaks off I'm heading for the mountains somewhere where nobody can find us and we can sustain ourselves haha
