Begining to question these tires... They don't hold a balance.
After 3,000 miles they were way out of balance... Twice.

Just had them static balanced today and they still seem out.
    #shouldhaveboughtKO2's hahaha

Having them static balanced will be worse, that's going backwards!

    Take them someplace else maybe?

I had 285 Duratracs on my FJ and never had any balancing issues, FWIW.

Had the same issues with my set, After 15k I couldnt stand it anymore. Email Discount Tire and they gave me some credit toward my AT2's. Much Happier.

It was very irritating because I liked the look of tires very much, But they were loud as could be and wouldnt balance. One shop measure them or something with a laser or something I couldnt really tell you what it was, and they told me they were wearing unevenly and most likely wouldnt ever balance out. Thats when Emails went A FLyin.

I had issues with mine at first. They were road force balanced. 2 seemed to be egg shaped. After 3rd attempt at balancing, I raised pressure to 40psi. Then balanced. They turned out MUCH better. I'm @ 5000 now. At speed, you have a hard time telling that the truck is even moving they're so smooth. Nothing but anecdotal evidence, but they seemed to do a LOT better once I got the pressure past 38psi.

I'm at about 10,000 on mine, steering wheel shakes after they balanced them. Annoying! What type of credit did discount honor?

I had the same issue with mine, so did my buddy. I got rid of them and went with Mickey Thompson MTZ. He got rid of his and went with BFG MT. Problem solved.

I have duratracs on my 4runner and my taco. My brother and a close friend both also have duratracs on their taco's, none of us have had any balancing issues. I was so impressed with my set on my runner i purchased a set for my taco. We all have the C load 265/75r16's. Is the balancing issue with the heavier E load?

My C load have had issues maintaining balance as they wear, so far I just have Discount re-balance them on every rotation. I may try to put the pressure up a bit.

We have 315/70/17 Duratracs on the wifes 4runner and have never had an issue with balance. 2 1/2yrs and 25k miles.
If they wont balance I'd say they're defective and need to be replaced with a new set. I had this happen with a set of MTR kevlar on my '03 Tacoma, discount was dicking me around and after coming in a bunch of times I got a web "how did we do" survey. Straight 1's down the line and no more than 5 minutes later the manager called me and he had a new set ordered and on my truck within a week. The replacements ran smooth and held balance.

Try roadforce balancing. That's the only thing that helped when I had duratracs on my 1st gen. That and weekly trips for rebalancing. Main reason why I will never buy another set. Great traction, shitty life/wear issues and could not keep them balanced.
