    The 8.4 is defiantly stronger but marginally so. For 99% of us it won't make a difference. The factory gear set Alloy is the weakest part. A chromo gear set in either one would actually be considered an significant upgrade. Look at all the 2nd gen diff that blow up. If your worried about the strength of the 8" you should be running a larger axle than either. All things being equal if you had a choice between elocker and ARB and your close in price I would choose ARB. But it's not something you would go out of your way to do.

    Sliders, rear bumper, front skid, lifted
    Yeah I was considering using a self tapping screw, but decided on trying out just 7 screws first to see if I can avoid drilling anything more than the old screw. It'd probably work, but I just figured if I can avoid putting bigger holes in my tank, I will. Though I'm sure it'll be my first choice for a fix if it doesn't hold up as is.

    So I was wondering if anyone has encountered this problem. I noticed today that these little things were gone. They just fell off. I circled the pieces. Does anyone know if those parts are replaceable?

    Definitely replaceable. But, you'll probably only find them in flat black.

    I bought mine on Ebay for $8.
