    Think big picture, not just a supercharger on a taco.

    I really enjoy the ability to have an open-air BOV on my cars, or a catless setup to hear the turbos purr. Straight piped V8s or a catless V8 with a flowmaster. The small percentage of people who modify vehicles as projects, toys, for fun, whatever... they won't be the straw that breaks the camel's back when it comes to pollution.

    Don't worry though, our non-emissions inspection freedom is definitely not worth the salt we have to endure in the winter. You're not missing out.

    Yes, I had problems fitting my winch in with the pump. I ended up building a plate and lightly bolting in the pump, I was only able to get one bolt down from the pump to the plate, as well as securing it with some heavy zip ties just in case. Not ideal, but it's held together fine.

    Superwinch LS8500. It's actually a fairly small winch and fits well other than with the S/C pump. To be honest, the pump is literally right where the winch is supposed to go, so no matter what winch you use it's not go to fit there without modifications on the pump mounts with that bumper installed.

    You SC'd guys with boost gauges; just curious how much boost you saw before & after the 2.85 pulley swap? Trying to decide between a 10psi and 15 psi boost gauge.

    go with the 10 PSI gauge. I was seeing about 5.5-6.5 depending on temps pre pulley, and now I see 8 if its 40 degrees outside and Im about to hit redline in 4th lol. You could probably go with the 2.7 pulley and still mever max out the 10 psi gauge. Its a bitch trying to see if im at 7.5 or 8 when im punching it sometimes lol with my 15 psi gauge

    Not at all. Get the tool URD supplies, have 2 people. Get a good pulley pulling tool, that part takes a few minutes. Pop your new pulley in the oven before all else, its not gonna melt. Once the old one is off, clean up the snout, throw a little oil on it, have one guy standing by with tools, ensure you both know your job! I pulled the pulley out of the oven, threw the strap wrench on it asap, and put in place, Rob had the pulley tool in hand for me, I started getting the pulley on while he held the strap wrench. We found out its faster if one guy holds the strap wrench and the wrench keeping the pulley tool from turning while you turn the wrench pushing the pulley on. From oven to done was about 2-3 minutes lol

    K, gotcha. I just read one or 2 horror stories about a member getting his SC snout messed up while trying to remove the pulley. But I also read various problems with the SC install and mine went fairly smooth other than searching for flying bolts.

    Oh, BTW just called speedhut and had em change my boost gauge from 15 to 10psi.

    Greatful for the first hand info. Thanks again.

    My VSC bracket hit the SC also so I had to rework it plus made a couple custom brackets to relocate the SC coolant reservoir so I can keep my catch can in the current location as it conveniently drains through the inner fenderwell.
