It all started out innocently enough. I needed a different rig and it didn't take long for me to decide I needed a truck. I had a little bit of money and headed down to the dealership to see what was available. Just to look of course. No reason to rush into anything. A few hours later I came home with this 2015 TRD Sport Long Bed.

I figured as long as I was spending all that money, why not spend a little more and get the windows tinted and the bed extender?

I wasn't a huge fan of the factory rims and my buddy is a manager at Les Schwab so I went down to visit him just to see what options I had. So here she sits on 17x9 Raceline Raptors and stock rubber that I bought while just looking.

The nose down look wasn't doing it for me so I picked up some Hell Bent Steel risers to level her out. It was about this time I discovered Tacoma World and realized I had made a huge mistake. After poking around this damn site for a few weeks I think I've figured out how this works. I buy a new truck which is perfect in every way, all I have to do is upgrade/replace/install the front bumper, skid plate, headlights, intake, exhaust, suspension, driveline, interior lighting, sound system, rock lighting, fog lighting, extra lighting, roof rack, bed rack, spare tire rack, utility rack, rooftop tent, debadge, rebadge, rear bumper, and decals. After that, I have to take it out and break or bend items one at a time and repeat the process.

After about a month and more than a couple OT shifts, I wanted to help her breathe a little. My local dealer(ship) was more than happy to sell me the TRD Cat Back exhaust, which I'm actually impressed with. Initially I went with the TRD system so as to be sure to not void my warranty. After it was installed, I actually think this is the perfect exhaust for me. It's by no means loud, so if you're looking for loud look elsewhere. But if you're looking to hear your truck when you want to hear it, and not really hear it on 8 hour highway hauls, this is probably a good option for you. It actually is a little louder than I was expecting which was a nice surprise, and I like the exhaust note. Call me crazy, but I swear it feels a little punchier from about 2,500 to 4,500 rpm as well. If not, don't ruin it for me.

I'm not sure what's coming next. I guess no harm in looking around Tacoma World and stalking the rest of the builds on here to figure out how I'll spend my next paycheck right? Just to look obviously.

The new car smell has all but disappeared at this point, so I grabbed a tropical scented air freshener. She just happens to also be a dashboard hula girl, complete with spring loaded hips.

I must have misread your question earlier. My bad man. It was $460 for the exhaust and $54 for the install plus tax. Worked out to be about $555.
