So what did they offer to pay vs. bluebook on thr truck?
What did you tell them happened? Did you show them that pic of the truck in the water?

Probably a sign that you should stick to paved roads in the future. LMAO

You guys know that insurance doesn't care what you were doing as long as it wasn't grossly negligent. To be honest, driving through a creek that didn't appear deep isn't a big deal to get coverage on from any reputable company. I know of someone who smacked a concrete barrier offroad, broke their a arms, twisted the frame, had the truck dragged out for miles by some helpers, tried to get it fixed himself, and insurance still paid out... Basically as long as you didn't intentionally drown it, as in take it into that puddle with the mindset you were just getting a good trade in value, you will get paid out.

Accidents offroad happen. I just bent my drivers side spindle something fierce on a fairly innocent hill climb gone wrong. It happens.

Nope. If I tore off the a arms and bent the frame though I would of had it bought out. I get your point though :D.

Sorry to hear about your Tacoma taking the plunge.

On a side note, a few thousand years ago they invented these things that help to cross small bodies of water without getting wet.

They gave 24k plus tt&l roughly 26k there was never an intention to do it on purpose. Hell I wanted to keep it, and am actively looking for another 1 and they aren't easy to find! I searched for 6 months to find this 1 so no I don't like looking for a specific vehicle for so long and I will miss the 2nd half of deer season to boot.

Nah...My truck rarely sees anything other than pavement or dry dirt roads. I have a Yamaha Waverunner for creeks like that. ;)

Don't attempt t skip your truck over a creek again. It won't work.
