TPMS, New TRD Beadlock Wheels

    Man I am getting the run around. TPMS part
    $82 42607-06011 Tire Valve Sub-Assembly
    42607-06011

    These are not working on the 2016 Tacoma. Toyota says they will. TRD Wheels need 20 degree stem.

    Light stays on and toyota tech is unable to program them... ideas???!

    He registers them in the computer but ecu do not recognize them. It says Judging on status.

    Just a little annoying!

    Are these the TPMS out of your factory off-road wheels? Strange, there's been several folks that have switched their factory TPMS to TRD beadlocks with no issues.

    Just did that. I switched them. Now i have to go back to Toyota to have them update TPMS back to stock numbers.

    You need sensors with PMV-C015 on them.

    What do you mean by this?

    Did they take the TPMS sensors out of the stock TRD Off Road wheels and put them in the beadlocks? If so, that should work. If it is an older set of TPMS without PMV-C015 on them, they will not work. Learned this the hard way myself.

    will TPMS from a trd sport 17 inch alloy wheel fit in a trd trail team 16 inch wheel?

    and does it need to be re calibrated?

    Just put some trd wheels on my 16 and made a tpms pipe bomb and it works fantastic!!!! Threw it in the storage compartment under the small back seats in my access cab! Cost me about $18 in materials!

    Pretty much stock
    I had TRD wheels included as a part of my "deal" when i purchased my truck.

    Tech also said i needed 20degree sensors for the 17in wheels. They installed what they had in stock and it would not "handshake" with the truck (they tried 5 different wheel sensors). They eventually found out the '16 wheel sensors use a different way to measure pressure and had to order new ones from toyota. Once the new ones came in it took about a hour and they had me all setup to go.

    Saves cost on new tpms if old won't work with new wheels. Keeps light off if you air down for off road.

    The problem with my case is I went from 16" Steel wheels to 16" alloy wheels and my sensors won't fit the alloys. So decided to do the pipe and it works great. I always check my tire pressure regularly, every few days so I'm aware of what's in the tires and the sensors are useless to me. All it does is keep the annoying light off. Plus if I ever decide to buy another set of tires and throw on my steel wheels for the winter I don't have to screw with the tpms sensors, just get regular valve stems and just swap the wheels at home!
