    Hi all,

I just purchased an OME TACOMA SUSPENSION LIFT KIT from ToyTec with the following options:
    • 90000 shocks
    • 885 Coils
    • Top plate spacers
    • Assembled front shocks / coils with new bushings
    • Front Diff Drop Kit
    • Complete OME Dakar rear lift
    I also purchased:
    • Camburg 1.25 Performance Uniball Upper Control Arms
    • Spidertraxx 1.25" thick wheel spacers (for front and rear)
    • Hell Bent Steel 2.5" leveling spacers
I plan on handling the install with some experienced friends of mine, and chopping the cab mount location in addition to some trimming on the fenders to fit 33" BFG KO2 tires.

Before proceeding with the install, I am still unsure of a few things:

I have heard that it is not necessary to install the front diff drop kit. Is this true? What are the costs / benefits of omitting this step?

Can I use the Hell Bent Steel leveling spacers with this setup to gain more height up front INSTEAD of the ToyTec top plate spacers? What are the costs / benefits of either spacer?

I spent a good amount of time researching and couldn't find the answers to my questions, so if anyone cares to answer, I appreciate it very much!

You'll love the OME kit -- best bang for your buck suspension setup out there, in my opinion.

I would caution you against "stacking" lifts though -- You'll gain 2.5-3" additional clearance with the OME coils alone. Adding the Hell Bent spacers on top of that: a) will probably not physically fit, and b) cause all sorts of ride/alignment/longevity issues if it does fit.

Diff drop is unnecessary I believe. I have my height set at 2.5" above stock height and didn't put it in. My angles on the CV's weren't bad enough to bother me and didn't want to have my diff lowered. I would suggest not installing unless you ran into issues with CV axle angles or vibration issues and tried to resolve by troubleshooting with it

I've read that front drop diff kits aren't all that functional since they don't actually lower the diff, they rotate it downward and don't really make an effective different.

I would recommend running the OME c/o instead of the spacers. They'll give you a much better ride quality and better overall performance.
