Factory Alarm?

Hello everyone!

Just purchased my silver TRD Off Road. I was just curious to see if the truck comes with its own factory alarm. I purchased the Viper Security alarm with the remote start but i think i o0nly got the remote start half of the deal. I was just wondering if i am missing something here or if there is a factory alarm already in the vehicle itself. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. I will be contacting the dealer during business hours to get it squared away. I am just curious about your thoughts on the matter.

 

You should have an alarm installed in one of the button panels to the left of the stearing wheel.. It has a mic that detects the sound of glass breaking.. The toyota factory alarm is called VIP

You can also test by opening your drivers window and hitting the lock button twice and wait about 30 seconds, try to open the door reaching inside and it should sound the alarm-the unlock button on the fob will stop the alarm.

 

Check your paperwork as well. It should be there.
