So I was wondering if anyone has had the same issue as me and has a fix or at least point me in the right direction.

Once in a while, I'd say maybe 2 or 3 times a week. When I start the truck, the blower won't turn on. But about maybe 2 to 5 mins of driving it suddenly comes on and stays on with no problems.

Everything about that says to me some type of loose connection. But I can't seem to find anything.

I found a couple things searching around. On Toyotanation I found this :
    DSCN1841_93a409d312483f8271bf8cda140089509f3e5f81.jpg
    On this thread :http://www.toyotanation.com/forum/6...nt.html#/forumsite/20543/topics/246763?page=1

Checked that, nope. Nothing seems loose there nor any burn marks like the pic.

    Also found this thread :https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/wire-connector-help.377189/
Suggesting a loose connection at the switch. Again, nope.

The thing about it though, is like I said. Once on, it stays on. Not once (knock on wood ) has it stopped working after it starts working. Which if it is a loose connection, I'd think it would do that.

So I'm not sure where to look next. Is there another connection further back somewhere that I could check? Anyone else have this happen and figured it out? Wouldn't bother me with no heat. But I always have at least one of my 3 kids in the truck. And one being 9 months old, I have to have heat. Thanks in advance for any help.

Although your are not seeing burns, I would still try changing the resistor. If it doesn't work, return the part. Mine would also remain on when it did turn on. Resistor solved the issue. I did have the burn marks.

Also check connector to the blower. Mine was partially melted due to high resistance there. I had to wire replacement connectors to the blower connector blades directly as I could not locate a replacement connector.

Yeah. I checked that. No signs of being loose or burned.

Also update, sort of. Took my kids to my parents house this evening. To finish up christmas shopping. It's about a half hour drive. The damn thing didn't kick on the whole way there. In the lower 30s and the damn windows were fogging up. I was getting more pissed off at it as they fogged up even more. Had my wife reaching under the dash wiggling wires to hopefully get it to come on. I popped out the switch assembly out of the dash and wiggled those wires while at a red light. So when we got there, she took the kids in. I jump out to see what the deal is. Hit the fan housing itself. And boom, it comes on. So I've narrowed it down to something there. Tomorrow if I have time, I'm going to pull out resistor. See if it shows any signs of anything. I'll probably end up replacing it anyway.

I can't remember but make sure you get the redesigned one and not the one made in Slovenia.

Looks like the Slovenia one was made in the 60s for RadioShack. :)

Yeah thats more like it. FYI, looking over my build thread, I was reminded that in my case my fan always worked on High no matter what. The low and mid setting were the only ones that would be intermittent. That doesn't mean you shouldnt try the resistor but you're symptoms are a bit different.

Ok. Thanks for the update. Yeah. That seems to be the symptoms of the resistor. But I agree. I think I'll still change it out. Just to be sure.
