I've been looking at Tacomas for the last year and am in a position to buy one now. This will be my first pickup so I am curious what I should look for when I find one? Anything specific would help a ton. I apologize if I missed a faq.

I've found one four hours away from me.

I'm curious why it has trd stickers but no locker button on the dash panel. Did Toyota do this often? Or did someone slap a sticker on a non-trd. Thanks in advanced for all the help.

I would look for one that has a back up camera in the radio.

    ^^^This^^^.

I would contact the dealer before you drive out there, and ask if the truck has had the frame inspected by them, or any other Toyota dealer. That year truck, and the fact that it's in a state that presumably uses road salt in the winter, puts it in the frame inspection/recall group. If the frame has passed inspection, it should have had the CRC coating applied, and (I'm not 100% on this part) they give you a five year warranty on the frame. If it didn't pass, then it gets a new frame.
