    It wasn't a douchey comment. This product would not have protected the OP at all. So I thought it was an odd reccomendation on your part. I think it's more likely someone would hit you off center than on center so it wouldn't offer much protection.
    All my "accidental" bumper damage has been on the side and it would be cured by not letting people drive my truck.

    A douchey comment would be me saying I'd rather have a damaged bumper than a dumb looking step back there.

    If we are talking about actually preventing damage then go for a fab bumper. This step will be useless for a lot of hits. Just because I disagree with you doesn't mean I'm making a douchy comment.
