    Holy fuck. Unanswerable question. Who retrieved Lukes lightsaber from Bespin in Empire Strikes back. Since he rebuilt it for RotJ and it was green then. Brain Explosion.

    Why stop there?

    How did they control the orbit and rotation of the planet to aim it?

    How did Han Solo see the beam and explosion from another planet, probably light years away? If it was so close, how did the Empire build an entire planet into a weapon without anyone knowing?

    How did the producer and writer think it was good idea to not only use a plot line from A New Hope but recreate the entire fucking scene from A New Hope where the rebels are sitting around a table with a count down timer while their x-wings are fighting against impossible odds to destroy the Imperial (First Order) super weapon?

    Since when were X-Wings the only fighter in the rebel arsenal? Where are their capital ships, Y-Wing/B-Wing bombers, A-wing fighters?

    Why are the rebels still rebels after 30 years of "defeating" the Empire?

    How did the Millennium Falcon escape Jakku with a Star Destroyer in orbit but they didn't see it (yet Han Solo found it so easily)?

    How did an x-wing snipe the troopers guarding Han Solo and Chewie?

    Why was Chewie a comic relief throughout the entire movie?

    How did Han fire Chewies bow caster when only wookies are strong enough to fire them?

    ...

    You mean the light saber that fell into Bespin, a gas giant? Minor details. It was convenient to have it in the movie so it was there.

    I haven't read the other responses yet but here's my take:

    Just in case SPOILERS AHEAD!!!

    General thought.... I was disappointed with the movie overall. I'm a bit shocked to see it being reviewed so positively. I think they tried way to hard to pay homage to the original series and also it didn't allow the viewer to process any emotions. It was too rushed and critical scenes just jumped to the next scene. I do think it can be saved and did seem to set the table well for a great trilogy this movie just tried to do too much in too short a time...

    1) An orphan on a desert... really?
    2) Way to many coincidences: Rey & Finn with Han/Chewie, Poe re-appearing, a planet size based with a weakness
    3) Han's death... 100% predictable which took all of the emotion out of it. Then, they didn't even acknowledge it. They just rushed right to the next scene. Pathetic. That was a major disappointment for the franchise. Hard to recover from.
    4) How did Maz come across Luke's saber?
    5) Ok, we get it, Kylo is unstable. One scene showing him losing his temper would have been enough.
    6) I also had major issues with character development...
    7) Captain Phasma...
    8) Rey's understanding and use of the force.. Episode 1 was terrible because it took the magic out of it, measuring midichlorians etc. This made it even worse in my opinion. She goes from nothing to beating Kylo in a saber battle and using her words to escape.

    What I liked:

    1) It looked great and it sounded great
    2) I do think they can build a great trilogy off of this
    3) The general story is good just rushed

    Boba is dead. Unless you refer to the books where he crawls out missing his legs or something. But we are so far from the books in this movie I wouldn't hold my breath. Shit, look how the desicrated Lor San Tekka... A few seconds of screen time before he gets blasted...
