Got a Tacoma Again!

Hello all at TacomaWorld! Just recently found your sight after getting another Tacoma a little over a month ago.

I had a 2000 Tacoma Extended Cab 4x4 SR5 which I bought used in 2003 with about 49k miles on it, and then it got Totaled in June of 2012 with just shy of 169k on it when a numskull in a Cadillac STS T-Boned me by not looking while pulling out of a parking lot. That was going to be a 300k+ Truck! His insurance company wanted to pay me off of some depreciation algorithm, and ignored all of the market evidence I sent them. Going through my insurance I got a little over $9k for it, still about a grand shy of what it was really worth, IMHO. I've been wanting another ever since.

I started looking seriously around last spring and after a while was considering flying elsewhere in the country because they seem to be so hard to find. Finally early last month I saw a fresh ad on AutoTrader from a Lexus store about 30 miles away on one they must have just taken in on trade. It was a 2008 Access Cab 4x4 TRD Offroad in Silver Streak, and it had only 26,026 miles on it! That was on a Friday, and I bought it on Sunday! I had begun to think I had nothing but bad luck, because I had about 5 truck I was looking at previously that didn't pan out for one reason or another. But I really lucked out with this one!

So happy to have a 4x4 Taco again and looking forward to working on it! I think I'll be able to get some good input her from y'all!

Hopefully you'll hit your mileage milestone this time!

 

All I have right now are a series of section shots, to show details to someone I was asking about it. On top of that, it is a completely stock truck right now. I will get a couple of shots to post as "Before"s though.
