turned another year older today 57 to be exact. Not in 100% excellent shape but still able and grateful to get around pretty good.

My butt hurts but the trip I just took was well worth it.

This time of year, especially Christmas, is rough for many people. Just saying. It can also be the best time of year for many and I hope that is the case for everyone on here. I know it is not including me, but life's not fair. My mother warned me of that many year ago. But she also taught me how to deal with life. As did my father and grandparents. I was blessed and still am in many ways, and hope those that struggle this time of year will find peace.

 

One of my best memories is standing and looking at almost the entire sky dancing with the Northern Lights. Helped that I was way north of the arctic circle in Norway in January

 

It is also said that getting old sucks but beats the alternative. Some mornings ya gotta wonder though.....

Forgot about this. TMI but...

Upstate NY first time. I was very young and saw them from the window in my bedroom. Ran outside and stared at them, couldn't believe the spectacle. Ran inside and opened the door to my parents bedroom and yelled excitedly to them about it. They came outside in robes to look at them with me, and when we went back inside my father said don't ever open the bedroom door without knocking first.

Taking a picture of the NL is very difficult. It corresponds with the times I travel to the Canadian border to hunt grouse and keep hoping that things will align correctly for me. Hasn't happened yet but hope it will someday.

Brings back members of the TV series show Northern Lights. Wait that was Nothern Exposure, or was it? Quite a long time ago.
