Congratulations....I know the feeling...Worth waiting for. The JBL is phenomenal.

As far as the VSC, I bought from Shreveport Lexus. 8 year/100K $1050. That about as good as it gets. If I sell in three years, the new owner is covered 100%. Or I can get most of it back.

Troy Detrich sells FDSWarranty.com He used to sell Genuine Toyota VSCs but Toyota has disallowed the online sales. He now sells southeast Toyota Fidelity VSCs, If you actually go go to Lexus of Shreveport or Midwest Toyota you can buy a heavily discounted VSC.

Chances are you won't need it. It's real benefit is for those of us who don't trade and rather sell privately and have the time to do so. Which lke truck would you buy in three years and pay a tad more for?...One without any protection or one with Five years and 60,000 miles left on a bumper to bumper no deductible Toyota backed VSC?

Thanks for the reply and the info! They were trying to sell me the 8 year/100K for $2,300 and were making it seem like a killer deal! You make good points, that would definitely be an advantage to me if I were looking to buy privately. My hope is to keep this truck for a long time and I'm hoping anything that goes wrong will be covered before the factory warranty. I just don't want to shoot myself in the foot either.

The reason I am buying toyota is so I won't need the warranty. If I bought a colorado I planned on the warranty for sure.

For 2300 you could get a hell of a lift and tires. Or wheels tires and a level.

nice. As far as the Tundra it s wonderful if you have a family. Traded in my 15 crew tss 4x4 for a new 16 Tacoma. That truck is awesome and big. But over kill for me because just the Wife and I and our son is 30 and living in SC. So my truck is commuting daily 80 miles 5 days a week and then I run it another 200 over the weekend running around fishing 4 wheeling or just wife and I driving around to eat and run around. The tundra wouldn't fit in garage with other vehicles and hated that plus tired of getting gas. It had a 26 gallon tank but worked off of 20 on the gage and at 15 mpg average I was always needing to get gas. But I loved that truck and would have another no problem. I think now you can get a 38 gallon tank that works off 32 so that would be great. I also like the way the Tacoma is fits on the narrower streets much better and when in the heart retail being ablt to park and get out much easier. Plus I am getting little over 21 average mpg which is great. Again if I had kids and needed room id go a 17 Tundra and wait till it gets the same upgrades as the new Tacoma. Plus it may get the cummins 5.0 diesel which would put it over the top. I also do agree the 16 back seat is a little more friendly than the 15 but it is small compared to the Tundra. Resale is great on the Tundra also.

I initially bought the 8 year/100K VSC and decided after about 4 weeks to cancel it... I paid about 1100 for it but after considering it I felt like it was just a waste of money.
