Greeting everyone. I Sorta have a Taco. I bought a 88 Toyota 4runner sr5 from a stealership for $630. Well $800 cash out the door with tax,tag and title. It has 123k on the odometer. It was suppose to have a 3. Slow in it. Well I popped the hood and low and behold there sat a 96 3rz. Every time you'd start it all the blinkers would start blinking. And it was at a buy here pay here. So Begins the dance, as my friends call it " Duchies bargains". It has a cone air filter, and I believe lce header, as the mounting flame is really thick. About 3/8 to 1/2". All new exhaust all the way to the tail pipe with new cats. Being a dealership it has to have a functioning exhaust. The wiring is a complete hack job . so that's first on the list. So they told me a grand plus tax,tag and title. As I did my best not to look like a little kid at Christmas I put my Kenny Rogers face on. Told them $800 out the door. After 30 minutes of the run around I told them I'm leaving and my offer will stand for a week unless I find something else. Got in the wife's car talking about what a piece of poopoo it was. Two minutes later the salesman flys out the door. 8 one hundred dollar bills and i got a fully load Taco runner. Digging around the passenger kick panel to get to the ECU it had the invoice sticker from the salvage yard the engine, wiring, and electrical components came from. Looks to be one of the Toyota buy backs for frame rust. With the milage 90k and vin of the truck it came out of. But anyway. This this my 4th yota, but first 4runner. And I believe it's the one they will bury me in. Thanks for reading my boring story. I'll post pictures up on n my build thread, starting with the wiring. Be Cool!

P.S. the blinking light were from a aftermarket alarm no one knew was on it or has the fan for. So 5 hours later it was renovated and cut wires soldered and shrink wrapped back together. I have a alarm for sale cheap. Lol.

Odessa up until 2003. Now Temple Terrace, because the little lady has a house there. But hopefully soon I going to get a acre out two with a little house and a place for my big shop. "Home of the heman lady haters club!" All the kids are 18 and older, so time for a reality check. Lol. Just waiting on my workman's comp to settle. I feel through a scaffold so I have a 2 level low back fusion and 2 level artificial discs in my neck and 8 more bulging and herniated disc. That's why my truck build take so long now. Lol. Yea I'm going to post some pics in a bit when the sun comes up. To help other people on what not to do! When this lawsuit gets done if like to get a bunch of people together for a off-road camping trip.

Way too cool. Yes I'm planning on getting this wiring finished in the next couple of months. Then a couple of small things, like the evaporator box and such and of course wiring the tranny until a5 speed fall into my lap. I have to figure out these pictures I've been playing around with then now door 30 minutes. Lmao. Amazing I can build a truck or bike blindfolded. But a smart phone makes me feel like a idiot. Haha

Thanks for the welcome. After Christmas eve dinner with the in laws I sat down with the manuals and started tracing circuits. So with any luck after Christmas morning chaos I can start to get this wiring close. With the 88 to 96 hybred. With the wiring diagram I have two from 79 to 95. One from 96 up and three or four downloaded from here And there maybe it will shift o. It's own. Right now I have to manual shift it. But the tranny is strong and tight without any slipping. Maybe it will hold together until I can finish gathering my parts for a w56 swap.well Merry Christmas all.
