    Hello all, happy holidays,

My passenger rear suicide door won't open. It clicks through but doesn't seem to do anything.

    It's a 2006.

Here's the video to show what I mean

Look like the linkage got disconnected. It's a Tacoma, you should be able to fix this problem with a hammer

    He was being sarcastic.

I would start by removing the door panel and taking a look and see what things look like.

You can probably find a video on YouTube showing how to remove that door panel, if you can't already figure it out.

If not, I'd make a thread here on this forum and title it "access cab door panel removal" and see if someone can't link you to a process with pics or video, or just describe it to you.

    Welcome to TW!

Prob just one of the small brackets broke and need to be reconnected to the rod. Once you take the door panel off should be easy to spot.

    Yup.

And while you're in there see if there is a problem causing the malfunction, and fix it. That way you don't just put it back together, make the door work and then a day later it pops out again.

Not sure how you're going to get the inner panel off with the door closed. If I remember right there are three fasteners holding the door on. One next to the opening latch, one in the small pocket under the window and one on the top that will be impossible to get to with the door closed??? Also, with the door closed the inner panel is sandwiched between the door and cab. Search YouTube for "2006 tacoma access door panel removal" there are some videos showing how to take is off posted by Taco Tunes.

Yeah! there are some on YouTube, I watched one on there about putting the speaker on them, and they showed how to pull them apart, and the one I watched was a access cab.

The problem is obvious in your video: The latch wedge is stuck in, see the picture below and compare it to the other door. Look at the red circled area below from your video.

Yea, before you tear your door apart, see the following thread on a possible simple fix:
