Seems like maaaybe a last resort kind of thing for deep snow if you were already hosed. I have never been in a situation where tires and a bit of skill wouldn't get you out way faster than CC. I just can't imagine a scenario where it would be very useful in snow JMO.

I used it on my t4r last weekend. Didn't help me get unstuck. But it depends on different terrains and other factors.

Based on the principle, it slowly moves sand under the tires to lift them out of sand...doesn't seem like it would do the same for snow... If anything, the heat would melt the snow and turn it to ice IMHO

From what I heard I think 4Hi and having traction control off woulf be the best in snow conditions. In 4Low you wouldn't have enough momentum.

Deep snow is a feel kind of thing. At least for those who have driven all manner of vehicles in deep snow all our lives. The secret is not to get bogged down in the first place, but if you do, it takes a variety of techniques to get out. Worse case scenario, a winch.

I drove in 3 to 6 inches of fresh snow twice . Zero problems but kind of boring. Last night I did it again in 4 inches of old snow with crawl on in the highest setting . It made some very strange sounds and wiggled around a bit but had no problems even in the ice . My truck is stone stock on OEM tires atimage.jpg 28 psi. I think it worked good .

The answer to the question is... Drive in deeper snow 6-10" and give us some video!! I might buy a 16 in a few months.

I don't know how other people drive .... I personally don't like my 16 . I bought this to beat on . The truck pushes like a dozer , throttle response is delayed so you can't pedal it and make it rotate . The ABS is so weird I can't even begin to describe how much they suck . Sorry I didn't have 10 inches of snow.

Not to be a turd but the OP mentioned deep snow. Momentum is your friend in deep snow 18" - 24". In 24" when you stop you are stopped from my experience. Shovel is your friend. Over 24" and you are on the wrong road or off it completely. ;) Six inches is just a good road with snow on it.

    In my neighborhood that's deep.
I live on the coast . We don't get 18"-24" inches of snow . My bad.

Aussi/New Zealand- September/April....BC Coast May/August. Road trips to the US. during the summer. Any temperature below 70F and I am not there.
