Buy the pieces you need as you need them, based on use of the vehicle?

Some folks can use a front bumper/winch/lighting rig, but have no real need for a rear bumper change, skids or sliders. Depends on your terrain and how you use it. If you need it all, well, figure on spending the price of a beater truck that actually runs decent.

As far as finish, www.monstaliner.com would be where I'd get my materials. It's what I'll use someday to refinish my OE bumper/cover/rockers when they are beat up enough.

I don't need this stuff for how I use the truck. But there is some fine looking product out there!

Watch this site and take your time, lots of deals/sales pop up on a semi regular basis. That's how I got my AP ifs skid for $200 shipped.

Just do a little at a time. IMO sliders, front bumper, skids, rear bumper, winch, lights, swing out... holy moly you could buy a lightly used SxS for all that!!! LOL!!
